Ilona in the Spring
It's always interesting to notice how the weather affects us. Springtime, whether it's raining or sunny, always changes our moods into a brighter, sunnier disposition. And as you can tell from the image below, springtime has inspired Ilona to show us another aspect of her artwork... one of collages.
Fittingly, a collage is an assemblage of found objects. The term collage actually derives from the French word "coller" meaning “ glue. Surprisingly, this term was coined by the great artists Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the 20th century which was when collage became a distinctive part of modern art.
One of our favorite local artists, Ilona Cronan will be here tomorrow Saturday March 5th from 1 to 3. She’ll be painting and collaging and would love to chat with you about your art interests and wishes.
We hope to see you here!
Sara
