Marci Goulart is a Chico native. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from CSU Chico in 1989. Combining more than two decades of professional design experience, and grounded upon her formal educational training, Goulart has built a large and loyal following.
Specializing in new, custom home projects, major remodeling consultation and management, space planning, kitchen, bath, lighting plans, and blueprint review, Goulart is also skilled at imparting sound guidance for projects to renew, revitalize, rejuvenate and restore existing construction.
She has a keen interest in historic preservation. She and her husband live in a unique Chico craftsman/prairie style home built in 1920 that they restored with the dedication and attention that she puts into all of her projects, personal and professional. This is the second vintage home restoration they have completed together in Chico.
Goulart has a likeable, intuitive and warm personality. Her clients have become friends and repeat, referring customers. She brings to each new challenge a friendly, collaborative way of working together with her clients. In addition to coordinating well with architects, contractors, tradesmen and vendors, she aims for a hassle-free, results-oriented experience.
Continuing education and giving back to her home community resonate deeply with Goulart. She is an Allied Member of American Society of Interior Designers. She was appointed by the city council in 2005 to serve on the City of Chico’s Architectural Review Board. The board reviews building and site plans for new commercial projects being proposed in the City of Chico. She’s currently serving in her third 4-year term and serves as chairperson of the board.
